How to Get Void Egg in Grow a Chicken Fighter

Void Eggs sit at the end of the Thunder line and hold one of the two Cosmic chickens in the game, Nebula Hen. This page covers who lays them, what hatches, and the quickest chain.

Quick answer: how to get a Void Egg

  • Redeem EGGSCELLENT and LETMECOOK on the codes page for two free Thunder Eggs.
  • Hatch Thunder Eggs for an Astro Chick (11%). It lays Void Eggs 70% of the time and Thunder Eggs the other 30%.
  • Open your first Void Egg. Probe Rooster (25%) and Moonwalk Hen (19%) both lay Void Eggs 100%, so you will usually have a dedicated layer after one or two eggs.

If your codes are used up, Sergeant Hen (8% from a Scratch Egg) lays Thunder Eggs 100%.

One video shows a heavily fused Astro Chick that lays Void, Nest, Thunder and Scratch Eggs on a 4-minute timer; that is a fusion project, not the default. See the Astro Chick page.

Hatch pool

Rarities are the chickens’ own. Sites label the egg Mythic, Legendary or just “very rare”; the game rates chickens, not eggs.

What to hatch it for

Nebula Hen is the reason. It is Cosmic, so it can reach the 31 stat cap, and players single it out for high base HP. One recorded build fuses Reaper Rooster with Nebula Hen and locks Voodoo to get a tankier Voodoo carrier than Reaper alone. Walkthrough on the Reaper x Voodoo page.

Void Rooster (Mythic, 3%) is the consolation prize: a strong body and a 100% Void layer.

Astro Chick shows up in its own pool at 5%. Extra Astro Chicks are fusion donors: their Void-laying trait can be locked onto another chicken through the fusion system.

Fastest farm route

  1. Redeem EGGSCELLENT and LETMECOOK for two Thunder Eggs. Finishing the daily and playtime rewards gives another Thunder Egg according to one guide.
  2. Hatch for Astro Chick (11%). If you miss, Sergeant Hen (Scratch Egg 8%) lays Thunder 100% and keeps the attempts coming.
  3. Astro Chick lays Void 70%. Open the first Void Egg.
  4. Hatch Probe Rooster or Moonwalk Hen (44% combined) and keep them laying; put the best layer in the Incubator.
  5. Open Void Eggs until Nebula Hen or Void Rooster appears.

Blazing Eggs from the Hot Egg event also list Nebula Hen at 2% and Void Rooster at 3%, but they are a one-winner event prize, not a farm. See the Blazing Egg page.

Common questions

Does the tower or rebirth drop Void Eggs? We found no footage of that. Every Void Egg we have seen came from a chicken.

Is Nebula Hen better than Reaper Rooster? They are both Cosmic. Reaper is the damage pick; Nebula is the HP pick, and the strongest reported build fuses the two.

Why does my Astro Chick keep laying Thunder Eggs? That is the 30%. Wait it out or fuse a second Astro Chick’s trait onto it.
