Grow a Chicken Fighter Guide: Your First Day, Step by Step

Grow a Chicken Fighter is a Roblox sim by Sergio Verse Games where you hatch chickens, feed them corn, and send them to fight in a tower and a shared pit. This page walks you through the opening hour and what to do on day one.

Step 0: Redeem the codes before anything else

Four codes work right now. Finish the tutorial, press the golden ticket Codes button in the top-left corner, type a code, and press Redeem.

CodeReward
EGGSCELLENT50 Cash + Thunder Egg + 2× Corn for 30 min
SERGIOVERSE50 Cash + Scratch Egg + 2× Corn for 30 min
LETMECOOK50 Cash + Thunder Egg + 2× Money for 30 min
WELCOME50 Cash + Nest Egg

That is 200 Cash and four eggs for free, and the two Thunder Eggs skip a big chunk of the early egg chain. The current list lives on our codes page; 40KCCU has already expired.

The tutorial loop

When you spawn, tap the egg (“Tap to Hatch”) to get your Classic Rooster. It lays Nest Eggs and is the weakest chicken in the game, but it is all you need for the first 20 minutes. In recorded first-play footage the tutorial runs in this order:

  1. Buy your first feeder. Feeders make corn; your chicken eats corn and levels up. Eating and fighting are the only two ways a chicken gains levels.
  2. “Find the tower and clear a floor.” The tower is a floor-by-floor fight. Each cleared floor pays cash (24 for one early floor in one recorded run).
  3. Install the recycler (about $4 in that run). Walk to the fence around the central pit, pick up scrap, carry it back, and the recycler turns it into cash. Upgrading the recycler pays more per piece.
  4. Collect your eggs and open them. The Classic Rooster drops Nest Eggs near the coop. Open them and compare the stats on the card.
  5. Fuse. The game tells you “You will need two chickens” — fusion merges a donor into your main chicken. Read the fusion guide before you do this for real; unlocked traits get rerolled.
  6. “Tap call” makes the chicken follow you, and “Tap to Chaos” sends it into the central pit to fight other players’ chickens, grab eggs and collect scrap.

What to do on day one

  • Pick one main chicken and feed only it. Spreading corn across five chickens leaves you with five weak ones. Put the highest-stat hatch from your Nest/Scratch/Thunder eggs on the feeder and keep it there.
  • Tower for cash, then reinvest. Tower floors are the main income. Every run, put the money into feeder levels, the recycler and coop upgrades (more chicken slots, more egg storage, more feeder slots). See how to get money fast.
  • Upgrade the recycler before opening rare eggs. One creator reports the Blazing Egg pool changes with recycler level; the in-game egg index also shows different pools depending on your current state, so check it before you crack anything valuable.
  • Hit the pit when the event timer is low. The countdown at the top of the screen tells you when the next event (UFO, Golden Goose, Hot Egg, Chicken Boss) hits the central area. Events give stat boosts, cash and eggs you cannot get anywhere else — see the events guide.
  • Stop grinding when a floor stalls. If one floor takes several tries, go back, feed, and return. The tower is a checkpoint, not a place to farm deaths.

The egg chain in one paragraph

Every chicken lays specific eggs, and every egg hatches specific chickens, so progress is a chain. Classic Rooster → Nest Egg → Cosmo Brat (10%) → Scratch Egg → a fan of branches: Slugger Hen → Arena Egg, NPC Chick → Cursed Egg, Crest Rooster → Royal Egg, Sergeant Hen → Thunder Egg, Taser Hen → Circuit Egg, Pizza Rooster → Diner Egg, Bow Chick → Charm Egg. The Thunder Eggs from codes jump you straight to Commando Rooster (Ordnance Egg) or Astro Chick (Void Egg). Full pools are on the eggs page, and the egg tier list tells you which branch to chase first.

When to rebirth the first time

Your first rebirth unlocks when you clear tower floor 25. In one recorded first-day run the rebirth panel showed +50% money and +40% corn, and the player got there in about 30 minutes. Rebirth keeps your chickens (reset to level 1) but wipes your cash and base, so do not hoard money before you reset. Details in the rebirth guide and the tower and pit guide.

FAQ

Which egg should I open first? Any Thunder Egg from the codes — its pool includes Commando Rooster (12%) and Astro Chick (11%), both real upgrades over anything from a Nest Egg.

I saw a tier list with Shadow Clucker and Golden Hen. Where do I get them? You don’t. Those names come from scripted videos and are not in the game’s egg index. Use our tier list, which only rates chickens that actually hatch.
